Local patriotism in the best sense: The Academy for Early Music Berlin is giving a “Berlin evening” at SPAM. The focus is on the octet composed by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy in 1825, exactly 200 years ago, which fully demonstrates the genius of the 16-year-old young composer. This program takes a comparative look at Franz Schubert in Vienna.

Bernhard Forck, concertmaster
