Sound walks, that is one of the most beautiful ways to experience music, out and about in nature. The sound walks in Teltow are entering their second year after a very beautiful and successful first season. The Verein für den ausgefallenen Klang (ausKlang) in Teltow in the district of Potsdam-Mittelmark, founded in 2018, is dedicated to communicating contemporary music and organizes concerts, workshops and sound walks throughout Brandenburg. The walk Vermessene Zeit in Teltower Park will be repeated after the great success of the previous year. Those who missed it in September 2022 now have another opportunity to experience it. We are again cooperating with the ensemble Śabdagatitāra and the Kairos Quartett. We are supported by volunteers.

Since this year, the events of the ausKlang association have been running under the title "Ohriginaltöne". They arouse curiosity about what is worth listening to. The motto for 2023 "Strings attached" refers to the manifold coordinates and the profundity of contemporary music, but also to dependencies and peculiarities of places and circumstances, also and especially when we move to more rural areas. The programs have at the same time an international claim and a corresponding artistic level.
The sound walk Vermessene Zeit (Measuring Time) is a "comprovisation" by the German-Indian composer Sandeep Bhagwati: music gives time a measure, we measure in it an actually eternal flow. Landscapes are also measured in order to get a feeling for their proportions and shapes. In my music tour "Vermessene Zeit" (Measuring Time), we experience both: the musicians of the ensemble Śabdagatitāra and the Kairos Quartet go to Teltow Park as sounding surveyors. Always only three of them make music in a wide-stretched triangle, in the middle of which the listener can of course hear them best. At some point, one corner of the trio falls silent - but a little further away, another instrument, a voice lifts up and adds to the music of the triangle again.
But now its center is somewhere else - if you want to continue to hear everything, you have to go there!
In this way, the sounds gradually measure the park in three steps - and you yourself wander along, listening to how our man-made harmonies and dissonances merge into the songs of wind, leaves, grass, insects and birds.
insects and birds. On the way, poems are read along the way that sing of the earth and trees, of the sound of the world - and some of them are given to the musicians for inspiration. Bhagwati's comprovisation lets us spend an afternoon discovering the Teltow as that poetic, sounding landscape that has lain dormant here since time immemorial.
