Expert tour with Irene Hesselbarth, Head of Paper Conservation, SPSG
A generous donation from the Cornelsen Kulturstiftung, great civic commitment and the craftsmanship of specialists made it possible to restore the original paper wallpaper from the royal apartment in Paretz Palace.

Irene Hesselbarth, head of the paper restoration department at the SPSG, was able to accompany this complex and unique process from start to finish.
The tour focuses on the history of the restoration of the garden hall wallpaper from 1939 until the original wallpaper was returned to the palace in 2001.
After this expert tour, there is the opportunity to take part in a guided tour of the castle.
