LOUDsoft & Ariel Efraim Ashbel and friends

Ariel Efraim Ashbel and Friends have been bringing their shenanigans to the stage for ten years now. What is a Shenanigan? It can be a prank, a joke or a game: something unexpected, funny and most likely somehow crazy.

Ashbel's stage shenanigans incorporate many ideas and influences: film history, religious history, literature, dance, dream images and music. And they are realized using all the means of theater: with sound, movement, light and objects.

In “SHRUMP! Fiddler”, the group of artists deals with the form and content of the traditional musical. They watch the visually stunning shenanigans on the big stage at HAU, sing and move together and talk to the many, many artists involved about how and why they come up with their art. And at the end they do a really big finale together – Jazz Hands!
