Die Bachs in Berlin, Werke der Bach-Familie

TOBIAS LINDNER (BASEL) presents under the title "The Bachs in Berlin" works of the Bach family". Tobias Lindner was born in Deggendorf (Bavarian Forest) in 1975. He learned to play the organ with Wolfgang Riegraf and Roland Götz. As part of his church music studies, he studied organ in Regensburg with Karl Friedrich Wagner and in Freiburg with Klemens Schnorr.

After the A-exam in Freiburg he completed the diploma "Early Music" at the Schola Cantorum in Basel "with distinction". He studied organ and harpsichord there with Andrea Marcon, and basso continuo with Gottfried Bach. Lindner attended nearly 40 courses with the great names of the organ world in order to come into contact with as many facets of the organ and its music as possible. He has won prizes at various international organ competitions (Innsbruck, Bruges, Nuremberg, Landau). From 2001 to 2005 he was regularly engaged as harpsichordist and organist with the Venice Baroque Orchestra under Andrea Marcon.

Lindner has been a full-time church musician in Basel since 2002 and holds a teaching position for basso continuo and harpsichord at the Schola Cantorum there. He was also an adjunct professor of organ and improvisation at the Musikhochschule in Hannover from 2004 to 2016. Since March 2016, he has been professor of organ at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis.
