The exhibition "Beautiful Places" opens with a reading by photographer and author Björn Kuhligk from his recently published book "Neighbors Everywhere - How I Circumnavigated Old West Berlin on the Wall Trail".

KEY VISUAL DraussenStadt

Björn Kuhligk set out to circle the old West Berlin on the Wall Trail. Along the way, he recalls his experiences in the divided city, rubber mitts in the rain, bicycle tours along the Wannsee. He talks to cycling pensioners, committed writers and talkative curry sausage sellers.

The result is a book for anyone who wants to learn more about a city that no longer exists, its inhabitants and the border that surrounded it. A read full of wit and that strange Berlin humor that has never really been one - and at the same time a literary companion book for Berliners, tourists, newcomers and all who want to become something of them.
