Guided tour at Wilhelmstraße 92 with Mnyaka Sururu Mboro | "Wilhelmstraße 92, once the venue of the Berlin Africa Conference of 1884/85, where the exploitation of Africa and its further division among the colonial powers was negotiated, is now home to the project office of ""Decolonial Culture of Remembrance in the City"".
The exhibition section ""Remembering, Apologizing, Compensating"" of the decentralized exhibition project ""Decolonial - What Remains?"" sheds light on the history of the conference, African resistance and civil society initiatives for a central place of remembrance in Berlin.
Mnyaka Sururu Mboro, co-founder of Berlin Postkolonial e.V., will give a guided tour of this historic site and encourage reflection on the impact of the conference and the demands for apology and compensation."
