The Pankow Art Festival takes place in the beautiful setting of the Schönhausen Palace Park. Art and sustainability are in the foreground in 2023 and characterize the diverse activities and hands-on offers.
The heart of the art festival are the diverse and colorful stands by and with artists from Pankow and the region. From 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. there is a colorful program with concerts, hands-on activities, handicrafts and delicious food for young and old.
On the main stage, top-class bands with international artists from the jazz and soul scene promise exciting and unique concert experiences.
Musicians from the Béla Bartók Music School will play on the small stage on Saturday and street artists from Berlin and the Federal Police Orchestra Berlin on Sunday. There are also classical concerts by the music school in the historical hall of the BAKS (directly next to the stage in the "Berlin" building).
Art is made from recycled materials in the workshop tent. Kunst-Stoffe, the central office for reusable materials e.V. from Pankow, offers three parallel workshops every hour.
In the reading pavilion, curated by the book store in Ossietzystraße, authors will present their works.
Children and young people can be creative on the KLAX-Wiese Klax.
In the hands-on circus from the Pankow Circus Contraire from Pankow, circus fans can ride a unicycle, walk with a ball, walk on stilts, juggle, hula-hoop, rope skipping and turn plates. The artists and the artist students show small tricks that can be imitated.
Colorful walking acts offer great photo opportunities.
