The exhibition shows current works by artists such as Nora Heikamp (Utrecht), Nico Hensel (Heidenheim), Cansu Ceren Ilkan (Istanbul), Chris Kamprad (Berlin), Paul Kuntze (Berlin), Eleni Manolopoulos (Berlin), Mimi Ritzler (Berlin) and Nathalie Theo (Hamburg).
New & Abstract, originally launched as an art account on Instagram in 2019, has developed into a lively art platform for over 350,000 followers and presents both abstract and contemporary art by established and unknown artists.
The exciting and relevant abstract-contemporary positions are exhibited both in the online gallery and in the new pop-up showroom in Berlin-Mitte. Art enthusiasts and collectors can experience and purchase the works live here.
The New & Abstract Pop-up Showroom is unique in Berlin because it only presents artists who are active on Instagram. Academically trained and self-taught artists meet and make their work accessible to a broad audience.
The showroom expands the virtual art platform and offers a real experience without limiting itself to a fixed program or a fixed selection of artists.
"Instagrammable Art goes real":
Every five weeks a new group exhibition opens in the New & Abstract Showroom. The previous exhibitions brought together art from cities such as Caracas, Boston, Cape Town and the Spanish Basque Country as well as from Saarbrücken, Heidenheim, Berlin and the Uckermark.
Between Alexanderplatz and Soho House, at Mollstrasse 1, visitors can immerse themselves in art on 100 square meters and meet international artists in person at the openings. The pop-up concept is inspired by Berlin's club culture and plans future temporary exhibitions in exciting locations in the city.
