DJ MissVergnügen
FezayaFirar (ZRH/BER) is a duo founded in Istanbul in 2012 that named itself after one of the first science fiction novels in Turkish, ‘Escape to outerspace’.
The concept of a ‘monstro-phobic dimension of space and infinity’ captures a sound world of countless layers that spins through space and time like an electromagnetic field: ‘The live synthesised musical layers form bridges between microcosmos and macrocosmos.’
FezayaFirar mainly uses analogue and modular electronics and explores their limits in their infinite variety, occasionally accompanied by acoustic and DIY instruments as well as field recordings. Their music oscillates between industrial am bient, drone and techno rhythms.
FezayaFirar plays the extraordinary concert series organised by resident DJ MissVergnügen. The musician, singer and DJ has always helped shape Berlin's underground, first in the ‘self-proclaimed’ garage in the backyard of the infamous Eimer, the Waffengalerie, in the Eimer itself or in the King Kong Club. Since 2006, she has been playing eclectic sets on Wednesday evenings at Eschschloraque Rümschrümp Konzert, 22.01.2025, giving the subculture a voice - and a stage - with DJ guests and concerts.
