Serious (and not so serious) folk music from here and elsewhere
In August 2013, the three musicians Hans Flake (accordion), Hanna Weissgerber (double bass, flute, tin whistle, vocals) and Kay Doedens (guitar, mandolin, scheitholt, bagpipes, vocals) met, gathered their instruments and rummaged through their "songs around the campfire" memories, driven by the idea to enrich the world music scene with something very special.

The result is a mix of music from French, Irish, Spanish, German and Jewish cultures, played on instruments such as bagpipes, double bass, accordion, scheitholt (a medieval drone zither), guitar, mandolin and flute. Some pieces have been known for centuries, some have been rearranged by Lamiks Tura with their own lyrics.
Inspired by various musical traditions, the ensemble has also invented its own compositions and added them to its repertoire.
