KENSINGTON ROAD have conquered the German charts with their last two albums, thrilled the national music press, play on rock radio stations throughout Europe and can count themselves among the select circle of WDR Rockpalast bands. In spring 2024, the indie rockers will go on a major tour of Germany with their brand new album.

"FLOWERS IN JAPAN" is the first single from KENSINGTON ROAD's new album CHARLIE IS ALIVE, which will be released in May 2024.
The song is a bittersweet ode to the glory of life and the beauty of the world in times of darkness, exploring themes of loss and coping. Inspired by the spring blossom in Japan, the track explores the cyclical nature of life and the enduring beauty that emerges each spring.

Lead singer Stefan Tomek explains the inspiration behind "FLOWERS IN JAPAN": "The song is a comforting piece of advice that a friend might give you. No matter how desperate and lost you feel, the realisation that life is a cycle with moments of perfect beauty can offer solace and a new perspective." KENSINGTON ROAD's commitment to making music that transcends the usual rock clichés is evident in "FLOWERS IN JAPAN" as they convey a message of hope and resilience.

KENSINGTON ROAD are:
  • Stefan Tomek - Vocals & Guitar
  • René Lindstedt - guitar
  • Michael Pfrenger - Keyboards
  • Dominik Henn - Bass
  • Jan Türk - Drums
