Katharina Grosse is one of the most important painters of our time and is internationally known for her bold, tactile paintings and rich colors. Since the late 1990s, Grosse has used a spray-painting technique to attack, redefine, and subvert traditional notions of painting.
For her exhibition Spectrum without Traces, Katharina Grosse limited her palette to six colors sprayed onto the canvases unmixed.
