The St. Mark Passion (BWV 247) by Johann Sebastian Bach was probably first performed in 1731. It was reconstructed by Simon Heighes in 1995. In his arrangement, Heighes recreated the work in great detail from preserved texts and musical parodies by Bach in order to make it accessible to a modern performance.
