For more than two years, musicians and organisers of Berlin's jazz and improv scene have been fighting the Corona crisis in many places. Even if not all is well by a long shot, there could now be a real new beginning for many players.

Jazzwoche Berlin #4 - organised by IG Jazz Berlin - takes up this momentum and from 4 to 10 July 2022 will both focus on the presentation of current jazz and improvised music at various venues and once again be a platform for intensive cultural-political and social discourse.

In addition, during Jazz Week Berlin #4, the Berlin Jazz Prize will be awarded for the sixth time on Tuesday, 5 July 2022, presented by the Berlin Senate and Rundfunk Berlin Brandenburg (rbb). The 2022 prize winner is Cymin Samawatie.

Essential elements of Jazzwoche Berlin #4 can already be experienced in compressed form on Sunday, 3 July, at the prologue in Silent Green: concerts, panels, plus a live recording of the podcast "jazz.leben - Stimmen aus der Szene". For the first time, the event is also open to the public and we would also like to cordially invite you personally to this evening celebration of music.

These venues + projects are already confirmed as participants:
