Founded in 1981, the interfilm developed into one of the oldest and largest short film festivals in Germany. The repertoire ranges from the avant-garde super 8 film of the early days to the multi-faceted and international program of today's festival diners. The festival focuses on current topics and retrospectives. Whether newcomers or experiend film makers, all are represented.
This will be accompanied by a supporting program of international and national competitions, country and main topics, special programs, panels and workshops.
As an independent sub-festival, KUKI,
the international children's and youth short film festival, has been taking place since 2008 and at the same time offers a cinematic program for the next generation.
In the four seasons until December 13, interfilm will show 270 films in 30 programs, including prepared intros and selected Q&As. The Interforum, interfilm's area for further education, exchange and discussion, will also go online: The masterclasses and panels have been recorded and can be viewed free of charge on our website
