Jewish businesses in historic Berlin - A search for traces from James Simon to Emil Rathenau
The tour leads from the James-Simon-Galerie in the center of Berlin - eastwards to Berlin Köpenick, with 16 stops and four exits. The destination is the historic AEG industrial site in Schöneweide, ending in the industrial salon with coffee and pastries.

How stable is coexistence?
People from all over the world study, work and live in Schöneweide. The district has developed from a once extremely right-wing problem area into a cosmopolitan and civic-minded neighborhood. But how stable is this coexistence? What negative influences are affecting the community? And what dangers threaten if the mood changes and extreme right-wing slogans and parties gain influence?
The Center for Democracy and the Industriesalon Schöneweide invite you to a salon discussion with actors from culture, business, science and politics. Together we want to discuss the importance of tolerance and diversity in Schöneweide today and how the area can remain a vibrant neighborhood in the long term.

Dr. Walter Rothschild and Elmar Werner in conversation with Gregor Gysi
The panel discussion takes place four times a year and invites prominent public figures. In October, you can look forward to Dr. Gregor Gysi.
A lively dialog is promised. The content will be viewed from two sides: serious and tongue-in-cheek, Christian and Jewish, British and German. The focus is on life itself and entertainment. The evening will be accompanied by an exquisite buffet and good drinks.
Dr. Walter Rothschild - the Rebbe
Born in England, rabbi in many countries and cities, railroad enthusiast (with his own magazine), musician and presenter, book author, with a lot of experience in radio and television.
Elmar Werner - the Pfaff
Born in (East) Berlin, trained cook, studied Protestant theology and religious education, over 20 years youth pastor, 43 years president of the Kleine, Kirchliche, Kreativen, Kulturellen SV Johannisthal 1980 e.V., managing director and owner of the agency Deutsche & Israelische Projekte, music manager, presenter, recipient of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany, with experience in radio and television.
