Around 1900, the Allgemeine Elektrizitäts-Gesellschaft (AEG) in Oberschöneweide developed a highly innovative centre of innovation that significantly advanced the progress of the then new high-voltage technology and played a pioneering role in the electrification of Europe and the world.
This exhibition presents some of the important engineers and developers who promoted technological progress from Schöneweide. It shows how closely the network of research, development and production was linked locally at the time.
