For the very first time in Berlin: Hilight Tribe with new show and new album! Hilight Tribe are undoubtedly the European icons of electro-instrumental bands and have made it their mission to spread their message of peace and unity between all cultures.
Their 100% live performances have made even the biggest sceptics dance and sing with the rest of the crowd. Travelling from San Paolo to Bombay and Tokyo, their values are guided by the tribes and traditions they look up to and reinterpret in their albums and live shows.
In addition to their 8 albums and more than 700 shows, their recent collaborations with Armin Van Buuren and Vini Vici (Free Tibet Rmx, Great Spirit, Moyoni) have expanded the Tribe's visibility around the world and given them further impetus to share their message with a wider audience.
They call their musical genre "Natural Trance", which by definition is entirely interpreted by the musicians and finds its origins in avant-garde electronics rather than traditional world music. The bass-drumset combo becomes an expressive platform for guitar, vocals, various percussion instruments and a wide range of folk instruments such as sitar, didgeridoo or Indian drums. Some instruments and voices are combined with effects and triggers that open the doors to experimental and psychedelic sounds.
Thanks to their sound engineer, lighting designer and stage manager, every concert becomes a sensual experience. The light show is synchronised with the music on stage, the musicians are connected to the dance floor and everyday life dissolves as positive vibes and timelessness take over.
Having shared their vision with several generations of dancers, travellers and free thinkers, the six members of the Hilight Tribe and their crew continue their world tour on the trance path, with each stop helping to write another chapter in the Tribe's legend.
