Radio Mycelium proposes the construction of a series of experimental situations in which a new networked imaginary, the single organism of the fungal mycelium, is explored in relation to local, global, and universal electromagnetic signals. In this two-day workshop we will build DIY radio receivers and sculptural antennas, test the reception of signals, and interact with open examples of the various growing mycelia and fungi.

Knowledge and techniques for cross-species communication between humans, mycelia and their environment will be learned and shared. Through sound, radio, touch, smell, and ingestion.

In a final collective performance, live signals recorded from intact fungal bodies will be manipulated with recordings from deep in the Tegel Forest collected during the workshop.
