Freedom, the concept is central to democracy. Basic rights are largely taken for granted in this country, but unfortunately that's not the case for many other people. What does freedom feel like, what does it mean to be given freedom in an artistic project at school? These questions were central to this project for students from art performance courses at the Heinz-Berggruen-Gymnasium. Accompanied by teachers and photographers from the Ostkreuz School of Photography, and supported by "MISS YOU goes to the schools", they set out on a quest to express their feelings, ideas and experiences with "freedom" in photographic series.

Current social aspects, everyday and future dreams, personal encounters, social changes were worked on in various subjects. The participants in this project were able to use their cameras to track down freedoms that might one day lead to a reorganization of the world.
