Frank Turner returns - again, you could almost say. Just two years after his last album "FTHC", which immediately shot to the top of the charts in England, the likeable British musician presents his next work "Undefeated".
This is all the more remarkable given his tour schedule after the release of "FTHC": In addition to countless major open-air appearances worldwide, Turner completed a world tour with his Sleeping Souls, which included, among other things, 50 shows in 50 US states within 50 days.
His tenth studio album "Undefeated" marks a return to his stylistic beginnings, but also shows some new aspects for Turner. For the first time in his career, he not only recorded the album in his own studio at his newly created nature-based retreat in Essex, but also produced it himself. As always at his side: his tried and tested band, the Sleeping Souls, consisting of Ben Lloyd (guitar), Tarrant Anderson (bass), Callum Green (drums) and Matt Nasir (piano).
It's precisely the emotional truthfulness, poured into captivating lyrics and melodies, that always makes Frank Turner seem like your best, most understanding friend. Even if, like on the upcoming tour, you are surrounded by a few thousand other people every evening who probably feel the same direct connection to their hero.
In short: Whatever Frank Turner does - he remains simply "Undefeated". Anyone who would like to see him and his band live will have the opportunity to do so in Berlin in October.
