Empress Antonia is frustrated. She works hard - and more importantly: looks great. The subjects admire their fame. And now this: In the neighboring kingdom, a competitor is growing up. Antoina's look is copied cheaply and then the population also makes demands. The monarchy begins to shake. Antonia urgently needs a new coup. She makes an acquaintance that changes everything.

The actresses Charlotte Alten and Marianne Thies question power structures in "The Empress' New Clothes": misogyny, sexism, gender-specific attributions and classism are dissected as well as consumer attitudes and followers.

The piece is a declaration of love for civil disobedience, feminism and independent thinking. The costumes and stage design were designed by Thereesa Scheitzenhammer.
