From their opposite windows, both children have a close view of the neighborhood. They get to know each other in the clandestine handover of macrouts that Sabah's mother baked especially for Romain. But Romain's parents don't even try, they just throw away the Arabic pastry. "Lying heavily in the stomach ," says the father. While the children discover their similarities, the parents see only differences. But Romain and Sabah want to have their own experiences and throw themselves into a childlike love, full of fantastical adventures, until their parents "prejudices break everything.
