„Digital is dead?!“

Digitality has long since become a cultural practice - long before the pandemic:

Artists are adopting digital technologies, alienating them, and designing their own (post)digital working methods.

Creative coding, software development, interaction design, physical computing, XR design, and game design are increasingly moving to the center of artistic training and practice.

Analog and digital are no longer opposing poles, but are closely intertwined.

Is the concept of digitality obsolete and inherent in artistic practice anyway?

What workflow do (post)digital artists have?

And how can sustainable structures for (post)digital art be built?

The Lab Day "Digital is dead?!" on October 30, 2024 is dedicated to current questions in the discourse on (post)digitality in the performing arts and opens up a space to get to know (post)digital working methods:

Impulses, workshops, discussion formats, live coding and table talks invite you to share knowledge, challenges and ideas for working at the interface of performative and digital art.
