Die schönen Hosen - the photographer Fritz Kühn

A retrospective

Fritz Kühn
(1910-1967) was one of the most important artists in post-war Berlin. Famous
for his metal art inspired by natural forms, he realised over 200 art projects
in public spaces.

Address

Fotogalerie Friedrichshain

Helsingforser Platz 1 10243 Berlin

He was no less active as a photographer, spanning four politically moving decades, between 1927 and 1967. This retrospect curated by Helgard Kühn and Fotogalerie Friedrichshain is the most complete to this date, including not only works from all of his six published photo books, but also previously unreleased images: expressionist photographs from the early 1930s, street scenes from Berlin, impressions from Baltic Sea island Hiddensee in the years after the second world war, and always studies of shapes and structures in nature.
