True crime: Tina Seel reads from her crime debut and talks about her own experiences.

It's been almost 50 years now. Nevertheless, many still remember the bestial murder of the old woman Anna Hager, which actually happened on Christmas Eve 1974 in a village in the southern Palatinate. Who is capable of such a cruel act? The distraught neighbors and villagers are sure it wasn't one of them. You know each other, you trust each other.

The author Tina Seel, who was 9 years old at the time, shows empathetically and with a great feeling for mood, characters, dark atmosphere and subtle humor how horror descends on her immediate neighborhood and the village.

While the investigations of the criminal police come to nothing, the psychogram of a murderer who lives in their midst in perfect disguise unfolds in flashbacks. The menacing story continues unabated. Only one knows something, but she is silent for weeks. Why? What happened? An exciting hybrid form that juggles between true events and fiction, between classic detective novels, milieu studies and psychograms.
