Dagmar Berghoff & Constantin Schreiber
Dagmar Berghoff & Constantin Schreiber Adreas Hornoff

Today's "Tagesschau" anchor Constantin Schreiber opens up the unique story of an eventful life in an exchange with his predecessor Dagmar Berghoff.
When Dagmar Berghoff became the first woman to read the news on German television in 1976, she became a role model for an entire generation of women. She rose to the position of chief anchorwoman and left the "Tagesschau" of her own free will in 1999 to start a new life with her husband, which never came about for tragic reasons. Dagmar Berghoff talks openly and movingly about how she found the strength to carry on and about why it is worthwhile to go through life undaunted.
