In addition to a large number of fashion photographs across the 20th century, just as many paintings and drawings speak of the role of fashion as a means of expression and representation of a time: from the reform dress around 1900 to the Dada dandies of the 1920s to avant-garde clothing designs in today's art. On this broad basis and with loans of selected garments, the exhibition illuminates the relationship of artists to fashion.
