On the occasion of this year's 200th birthday of Anton Bruckner (1824-1896), the MarienKantorei is performing his rarely performed Requiem. As Bruckner's first major oratorio, it is entirely in the tradition of Viennese classicism, particularly the Requiem by W. A. Mozart.

Over the course of his life, Bruckner revised his work several times and, at the age of seventy, judged his composition: “It's not bad!”

Performing: MarienKantorei, Aris et Aulis Orchestra, Christina Roterberg (soprano), Susanne Langner (alto), Shimon Yoshida (tenor), Christian Wagner (bass), Marienorganist Xaver Schult (organ), Marienkantorin Marie-Louise Schneider (conductor)
