When Zoey emerges from the pool, the weather has changed. Four days after her mother's death in Hamburg, Zoey returned to the Côte d'Azur to bury her there. In doing so, she also confronts the fragmented memories of a painful past: When her little sister disappears, Zoey herself is still a child.


A lot remains hidden and blurred: Why was the sister never looked for? She must rearrange her memories, which rise from the sea like islands in the light. In 2022, the author presented a highly acclaimed debut with “Ewig Sommer”. Mothers and daughters are once again at the center of her story, with the weather as a mirror and counterpoint.
