The Czech ensemble for historical instruments "Plaisirs de Musique" presents a new program that combines music by baroque masters with contemporary compositions, thus building bridges between centuries, cultures and generations.
Ensemble "Plaisirs de Musique": Marta Kratochvílová (transverse flute), Sylvain Latour (viola da gamba) and Jan Čižmář (lute)
About the ensemble:
Founded in 2013, the ensemble Plaisirs de Musique specializes in the authentic performance of early music on historical instruments. The projects of Plaisirs de Musique are implemented under the artistic direction of Jan Čižmář.
The members of the ensemble are leading European professional musicians who specialize in early music, as well as singers and experts in the field of historical dance and theater.
The program offers a wide range of projects, ranging from chamber music to orchestral ensembles. The artistic work is primarily inspired by new discoveries in music archives and seeks to create attractive connections between music and other art forms. The members of the ensemble are also actively involved in educational work.
