In her program, the songwriter Bettina Wegner (“Sind so kleine Hände”) brings to life evidence of a song culture that has become rare. Together with her musical partner Karsten Troyke, she spreads out the whole range of sensitivity, melancholy and anger that her songs always contained with enchanting Berlin charm (“Ick probier et einfach mal”).

Karsten Troyke complements the evening with a hauntingly rough voice and songs that combine the cynical with the comic, the horrific with the grotesque. Not “being cool”, but showing yourself, not “wanting to have fun” as an expression of resignation, but open laughter and questions in songs.
