BEHIND THE COLOURS tells the story of Micha, who is trapped for three days in the cavity of a waterfall into which he was sucked by a strong current while mountain climbing.

Through the veil of water in front of his eyes, he sees the mountain rescue team retreating after two days of unsuccessful searching. Micha is invisible.

Eight people retell his story from a first-person perspective and enrich it with their own extreme experiences. The waterfall becomes a symbol of absolute powerlessness and the narrators become the ensemble of a collective experience of self-empowerment.

The film has already won the award for best documentary film in Karlsruhe and Upper Swabia.
