Presentation of a co-operation project and public workshop with Susie Ibarra and project-involved children.
In the project "The art of listening" pupils explore the soundscape of the Tegeler Stadtheide. How do insects sound electronically amplified? What do trees and heather sound like? And what stories are told by the wind that blows through the heathland and brings cold air into the centre of the city?
Together with the internationally renowned sound artist Susie Ibarra, the children from Nürtingen Primary School and the WiKo TXL welcome school carefully approach a landscape and explore the human limits of listening.
Project team: Carsten Cremer, Susie Ibarra, Wiebke Janzen
