From 23 to 30 November 2022, the 610 Berlin-Warsaw festival will provide a sumptuous programme of Polish films in three Berlin cinemas. 610 Berlin-Warsaw is a film festival of German cinema in Warsaw and Polish cinema in Berlin, which is also an invitation to intercultural dialogue.
The festival aims to create a neighbourly conversation and a lively platform for the exchange not only of film merchandise, but also of thoughts, opinions and emotions.
The distance between Berlin and Warsaw is 610 kilometres. In global culture, it can be the distance between neighbouring districts.
The respective worlds of life are close and yet so far away. 610 Berlin-Warsaw aims to bring them closer together and strengthen neighbourly relations. That's why it's not just film screenings that take place here. It is a cultural exchange and a space for discussion - at meetings with invited filmmakers, documentary film workshops for young people or in the wagons of the culture train on the Berlin-Warsaw-Berlin route.

Kornel Miglus, director of the second edition of 610 Berlin-Warszawa on the film selection for Berlin:
"The Polish films in the German festival programme are artistically and formally excellent. They tell of Poland and its grievances, of the situation of young people, but also of historical entanglements, of the phenomenon of religiosity and the maturation of female consciousness, of the fears of youth and of Polish culture in the global space. As for its reception abroad, I am convinced that the German viewer is not afraid of it and appreciates the discussion and the open view of the world behind the border."
