In the 8 cinemas of the CineStar in the Sony Centre, current original language films are shown (without subtitles). Where one should look within the CineStar, one initially doesn’t know at all: upwards, where one in the ceiling looks through the fountain into the illuminated Sony Centre, or onto the floor, into which texts from “Taxi Driver” have been woven. One can follow the original dialogue, while one sits relaxed in the comfortable seats. The cinema is equipped with the latest technology (therefore also 3D) and is arranged by means of a modern, yet also individual design. Thus, die-hard cineastes also feel themselves at ease in this multiplex. Again and again, the Sony Centre also serves as a premier cinema, with large stars studded on the red carpet. During the Berlinale, however, it is the visitors of the forums and panoramas, which thrust themselves into the cinema halls.
