Christmas is just around the corner. But before we celebrate the feast of love, there is still a whole weekend to reflect and get in the mood for the feast days. And even for those who are not in a holiday mood, we have enough events in Berlin for an entertaining weekend. For all of you here are our 11 tips for the 4th Advent weekend.
Tip 1: Christmas Markets
What would the Advent season be without a visit to one of Berlin's Christmas markets? Even on the last weekend of Advent, countless markets open in Berlin, be it one of the big traditional markets like the one in Spandau, in front of Charlottenburg Palace or on the Gendarmenmarkt, be it one of the original and country-specific markets.
Tip 2: Christmas Shopping
Are you still looking for a present? On the 4th Advent, 23rd December, the stores are on open on Sunday. And the doors to many shopping centres and shops in Berlin are also open until 2 p.m. on the morning of 24 December. So nothing stands in the way of a quick gift hunt. Besides shopping, you can also stroll along the wonderfully illuminated streets of Berlin and forget the stress of shopping.

Tip 3: Christmas Garden Berlin
Enjoy the magic of Christmas time! As soon as the sun has set, you can go daily from 16:30 clock in the botanical garden on a contemplative light journey! 30 light installations, which are integrated into the plant world of the Botanical Garden, await you on an approximately two-kilometre-long circuit.

Tip 4: Roncalli Weihnachtscircus
A visit to the Roncalli Christmas Circus is one of the most beloved Christmas traditions of Berliners. In the festively decorated Tempodrom, the Roncalli Christmas Circus enchants the whole family with its poetry. Artists and clowns will take you on a magical journey to Winterunderland.

Tip 5: Die Schöne Party – Die Schöne Weihnachtsparty
Not only at Christmas time a classic in Berlin: Die Schöne Party (The Beautiful Party) has been going up regularly for years. Guest DJs hang up in the Kalkscheune and get you going. Depending on your taste in music, you can dance and party on four different floors.

Tip 8: Louis Lewandowski Festival 2018
The Lous Lewandowski Festival shows you Israeli choral music in its various facets and all its richness. At the Louis'Lab on 22 December in the Reinbeckhallen you will have the opportunity to sing together with the festival choirs. The festival ends with a big closing concert in the synagogue Rykestraße, with well-known choirs and soloists from Israel, Moscow and Berlin performing together.

Tip 7: Christmas concert: Rainald Grebe & Guests
Rainald Grebe always wanted to stand on the big stage of the Volksbühne. Now he has made it and invites you to the big Christmas concert with many guests and specials. He will be supported by the Chapel of Reconciliation, the so-called Anarchist Music Industry, Thomas Quasthoff, and the accordion ensemble Stark.

Tip 8: HARLEM GOSPEL NIGHT | Donna Brown & the GOLDEN GOSPEL PEARLS
With their great soul voices and their rousing nature, Donna Brown on piano and the Golden Gospel Pearls have been sweeping their audiences away for years. With soulful songs like "Amazing Grace", "Mary Had A Baby", "Come and Adore Him" and your own Christmas Medleys you will get into the Christmas mood.

Tip 9: Sido & Guests: Sido's Christmas show
The rapper SIDO invites you to a special evening in a festive ambience. Together with his surprise guests he will get you in the mood for the party, funny, entertaining and in his very own SIDO-like way.

Tip 6: Bijoux-Bijoux! Costume Jewellery from Chanel to Dior
You are still looking for inspiration for a great gift, then have a look at the jewellery exhibition Bijoux Bijoux! - Fashion jewellery from Chanel to Dior in the Museum of Decorative Arts. The most beautiful designs of large fashion houses and famous designers from 1930 to the present day are exhibited for the first time in Berlin and show the interaction of jewellery and fashion. One section of the exhibition is dedicated to Dior jewellery.
