Berlin is a culinary hotspot. Whether it’s traditional cuisine, international specialities or top restaurants – the capital’s food scene is as delectable as it is varied. Every month, we go looking for the city’s most attractive, tastiest and most exceptional food spots for you.

Teehaus im Englischen Garten

A little bit of England in the middle of Berlin: The Teehaus im Englischen Garten is perfect for a warm summer evening or a sunny afternoon. In the middle of the Tiergarten you can sit on the cozy terrace in the middle of the green, have breakfast, dine or spend the afternoon with coffee and cake or quite stylishly with a tradional tea time with scones and sandwiches. On Sundays there are open-air concerts on the stage in summer.

Where: Teehaus im Englischen Garten , Altonaer Straße 2, Tiergarten
When: Monday - Saturday from 12 am, Sunday from 10 am

Selig Berlin

The best tip in Neukölln for an extended brunch is the Selig Berlin. Feast your way through the lush brunch menu with pancakes, the popular Eggs Benedikt or fresh Gazpacho with melon and refresh yourself with the delicious homemade lemonade. For all dishes, the kitchen team uses local products and prepares them healthy and fresh. In summer you can enjoy them on the romantic terrace.

Where: Selig Berlin, Herrfurthplatz 14, Neukölln
When: Monday - Sunday from noon to midnight

Der blaue Fuchs

Restaurants with Gregorian cuisine are very popular in Berlin at the moment. A brand new restaurant is Der blaue Fuchs, which opened in spring in the Kollwitzkiez in Prenzlauer Berg. If you love walnuts, then you've come to the right place - after all, walnuts are the queen of Gregorian cuisine. There are also other delicious classics such as fresh bread filled with cheese, delicious starter plates and chicken dishes. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated with vintage lamps, colourfully painted walls and colourful tablecloths.

Where: Der blaue Fuchs, Knaackstraße 43, Prenzlauer Berg
When: Tuesday - Sunday 12 noon - midnight

Luise Dahlem

The Luise is the classic for all those who study or have studied at the FU Berlin. Located in the immediate vicinity of the campus, it is the perfect place for long discussions over a beer or apple juice spritzer. But everyone else can also enjoy the delicious stone oven pizza or fresh classics of German cuisine such as heaven and earth or homemade roulade in the beautiful beer garden under green trees or in the cosy guest room.

Where: Königin-Luise-Straße 40 - 42, Zehlendorf
When: Monday - Saturday 9am - Midnight, Sunday 10am - Midnight
