If it's uncomfortable and cold outside, we'll just go inside. Berlin's museum landscape is so good that everyone will find an exciting exhibition here. Whether arts and crafts, painting, communication, natural history or even computer games and the 90s - the spectrum is really wide. The absolute highlight is of course the Museum Island, where a visit to one of the five museums is always worthwhile.

Berlin may not be the classic winter sports location. But neither is it a classic beach metropolis - and yet there are so many lakes here that one could say the opposite. So it's also worth taking a closer look at winter sports: from ice skating to tobogganing, a lot is possible. Our tip: tobogganing on the Teufelsberg.
