THE GROUND is a brand new festival format that brings together the best of fashion, lifestyle, culture and diverse perspectives. Over three days from July 7 - 9, you can experience innovative brand pop-ups, panel discussions, live music, physical and mental health actions and even enter the Metaverse at the fairgrounds. The festival is aimed at everyone who seeks values such as meaningfulness and sustainability, inclusion and individuality in their actions and those of their brands.
THE GROUND is divided into six sections: Sport, Beauty, Music, Play, Soul and Talk where you can get inspired and have new experiences. Fashion is the unifying element of the festival and runs through all areas. We've already taken a look at the program for you and picked out eleven highlights among many.
Tip 1: Great Opening #FashionUnites Parade

A big parade opens the first THE GROUND festival on Thursday, July 7, starting at 12 p.m. together with the PLATTE.Berlin community. Under the motto #FashionUnites the parade sets a sign of peace and moves from the Siegessäule to the fairground. You can register for the parade in advance and get free access to the festival on the first day.
Tip 2: Cool Brand Popups

Visit the pop up stores of many cool brands and browse the wide range of products from Dr. Martens, Karl Kani, Vanmoof, Drykorn, Happy Socks, No Cosmetics, UndGretel, Dr. Hauschka, Mads Norgaard, Colorful Standard, Rhi Dancey, Clara Colette Miramon, That Gay Creation, Tik Tok and many more.
Tip 3: Pre-Loved & Vintage Märkte

Give old clothes a new life. At the Pre-Loved & Vintage markets of VinoKilo, Wavey Garms and Elio Events for Breezy Market you're sure to find what you're looking for, and at the workshops you can personalize and upgrade your newly acquired pieces.
Tip 4: High-profile charity action

The 'MUST-HAVE PEACE Merch Collection' is an action of The Ground due to the ongoing war situation in Ukraine. Well-known designers have designed very special pieces exclusively for this occasion. If you buy a jacket, shorts or a bag from Closed, Drykorn, Eastpak, Lala Berlin, Lee and many more, all the proceeds will go to the Be an Angel foundation.
Tip 5: Thought Leadership Talks

During the festival, there will be exciting talks from TikTok, Vice, Journee and many others that will address current and important cultural and social issues such as sustainability, genderless fashion and the metaverse.
Tip 6: Soul Space

The "safe space" is all about Mental Health. You can participate in workshops that deal with topics such as health, development, bonding or ways to live a relaxed life. Take a look and broaden your horizons.
Tip 7: Live Acts

Numerous bands and DJs promise great music and good mood. Announced are Kikelomo, Floyd Lavine, Baby B3ns, Abuglitsch, Deadhype, Simon Kaiser, Love Foxy and Dipped in Colors.
Tip 8: Overkill x Puma Berliner Luft Rave

On Friday, between 6 and 10 p.m., you should definitely stop by outside in the summer garden of the Berlin exhibition grounds, because that's when the Overkill x Puma Berlin Air Rave takes place.
Tip 9: “Larger Than Life Ball” by The House of Gorgeous Gucci

And on Saturday, starting at 3 p.m., an exclusive highlight awaits you in the Summer Garden. The House of Gorgeous Gucci celebrates the diversity and impulsiveness of the creative scene with a ballroom spectacle. During the live voguing performances you can marvel at the fancy costumes and enjoy the unique atmosphere.
Tip 10: Food, Drinks and Sun

In the summer garden of the Berlin exhibition center you can taste delicious food or just enjoy the sun. And you're sure to strike up a conversation with the others and make new acquaintances.
Tip 11: Berlin!

And with lots of new inspirations you can then go on a discovery tour through Berlin. Surely you've heard some great ideas and suggestions - and maybe you got one or two Berlin tips you didn't know yet. For example, take a look at PLATTE.Berlin.
