One of the newest Christmas markets invites you to Hohenschönhausen Castle.
The small Advent market in the atmospherically illuminated manor house Hohenschönhausen Castle in Lichtenberg in the very east of Berlin offers the perfect Christmas idyll. Here you can enjoy a pleasant afternoon in the wonderful ambience of the baroque building, where you can get in the mood for the upcoming Christmas holidays.
Christmas market since 2017
Since 2008 the castle, built at the end of the 15th century, has belonged to the Förderverein Schloss Hohenschönhausen e.V., founded in 1998, which renovated and reconstructed the building over several years and converted it into today’s cultural venue. The Advent market took place in Hohenschönhausen Castle for the first time in 2017.
Many gift ideas from local exhibitors
At the small Christmas market, various local suppliers such as retailers, schools, churches, social organisations and others offer a range of gifts for sale. You can keep up your strength with various snacks such as homemade cookies, punch and mulled wine.
Varied stage programme
Top-class entertainment is provided by various choirs from the neighbourhood performing beautiful Christmas carols as well as music schools and dance groups which have prepared a stage programme that is not to be missed.
