Berlin for Handicapped
Welcome to Berlin's Tourism Organisation!
Living together with minorities reveals the open-mindedness of a city in recent years Berlin committed itself to the integration of disabled people. That's why train stations and busses are equipped with barrier free access for wheelchairs, new public establishments such as cinemas, theatres or shopping malls were built to grant easy access to all areas. Handicapped people developed their own projects, such as theatre groups, cafés, clubs and various self-help groups, which offer help and administration for disabled as well as non-disabled people.
