Inline-Route through the City

Our suggestion for a 5-7 km long route along the most interesting sights of Berlin:
Brandenburger Tor, Reichstag, Bundeskanzleramt, Regierungsviertel, Schloss Bellevue, Bundespräsidialamt, Siegessäule , Straße des 17. Juni, Ehrendenkmal der ehemaligen Sowjetunion.

We start at Brandenburger Tor. At Platz des 18. März we cross the border between Mitte and Tiergarten and see the green Tiergarten with the Siegessäule in the distance. The route begins in northern direction on the asphalted bicycle lane to the Reichstag , which dome - an attraction for ten-thousands of visitors - is already in sight. In front of the Reichstag's building, we turn left into Scheidemannstraße, then after 400 metres turn right into H.-v.-Gagern-Straße and role comfortably on the tared ground. On the left side we can take a look at the new Kanzleramt, on the right side at the the government quarter with the Paul-Löbe building, Marie-Elisabeth-Lüders building and the swiss embassy. Then the route takes us over Moltke bridge to Washingtonplatz and from there on the bicyle lane of the street Alt-Moabit. At the intersection Alt-Moabit/Paulstraße we cross the street and turn left into Paulstraße. After a few minutes rolling, after crossing the city train bridge, Schloss Bellevue and Bundespräsidialamt appear.

Finally we skate along Spreeweg to the Siegessäule and Straße des 17. Juni. For those who are tired the shorter route is recommedable: turn left into Straße des 17. Juni and skate straight until Brandenburger Tor. On the left side the "Memorial of the Soviet Union" can be seen.

The longer route leads along Straße des 17. Juni until Ernst-Reuter-Platz, on the right side the Technical University, where an interesting flea market takes place at the weekend. On Ernst-Reuter-Platz we turn around and skate back to Brandenburger Tor.
(about 3km)
