From abstract figuration to informal art
The Walter Bischoff Gallery was founded in 1983 in Chicago. The gallery moved back in 1988 and opened in 1989 the new gallery-space in Stuttgart. 1995 opened the second gallery in Berlin-Mitte.
The main focus is on temporary art to support young artists with a yearly scholarship for a 6-months-studio-stay in San Jose/USA. Also the gallery organises art exchanges with the USA and Russia.
The gallery participates at the fairs Art Cologne, ARCO Madrid, Art Chicago, SFIAE San Francisco, KIAF Seoul, Los Angeles Art Show, Art Santa Fe a.o.
