Volkspark Potsdam

In contrast to the traditional landscape gardens of the Potsdam Schlosspark, the Volkspark, on the site of the former Berlin horticultural show, is a thoroughly modern 21st century park. What other parks might ban, the Volkspark explicitly encourages, with the motto, “Please walk on the grass!” Playing, walking, cycling, skating or sunbathing are all acceptable, and in certain places you can even have a barbeque.
