Tipi am Kanzleramt
Tipi am Kanzleramt
Outside the Tiergarten park, inside the finest entertainment
The Tipi am Kanzleramt (Tepee at the chancellery) is a special kind of tent: it was erected in 2002 as a sister tent of the cabaret Bar jeder Vernunft right in the middle of the Tiergarten and has been providing best entertainment in the government district ever since. The stage programme focuses on intelligent cabaret combined with musical treats.
Both local luminaries as well as successful international artists appear on the stage of the 800 m² four-mast tent that holds room for an audience of about 600. Numerous artists like the cabaret trio of the Pfister siblings, the entertainer Gayle Tufts or the three Scottish Tenors of Caledon provide high-quality entertainment for the audience and are always happy to return to the cosy atmosphere of the Tipi.
In addition to the great entertainment programme ranging from chansons and cabaret to musical comedy, readings or panel discussions also take the place they deserve in the tent next to the chancellery. The festive theatre room under the curved tent roof is also popular as a backdrop for TV shows like Jörg Thadeusz's talk show "Dickes B".
Before the show begins, visitors have the opportunity to combine dinner with a visit to the theatre. Aside from the stage programme, a selection of fine foods and choice wines make for an enjoyable evening.
