Nolde Museum Berlin
Nolde Museum Berlin
Emil Nolde´s Selections
Summer on the Baltic coast, winter in Berlin - that's how Nolde and his wife liked to spend their time. From 1905, Emil Nolde and his wife Ada lived in a winter residence in the city. Throughout his life, Emil Nolde was closely associated with Berlin, also through his artistic work.
The Nolde-Stiftung Seebüll foundation has been commemorating Emil Nolde’s close links with the city since 2007 by presenting a number of temporary exhibitions on the artist’s work in an exhibition space of approx. 800m2. Away from the big exhibition centres, this small yet exquisite museum gives visitors the opportunity to admire the artist's masterpieces in a more intimate setting.
Vividly coloured paintings, watercolours and drawings on various key themes are often displayed in conjunction with the works of other international artists.
