Museum für Kommunikation Berlin

The past and future of communication

Museum für Kommunikation – © Thorsten Schimmel

Visitors are greeted in the atrium by three charming robots waiting to communicate with them. The interactive stations on the communications gallery invite people to explore the basics of communication in a fun and entertaining way: how has communication changed over the centuries? How do media influence our private communication?

These and many other questions are answered by the permanent exhibition on the history of communication. The museum's treasury houses the 'crown jewels' of communication history, including the Mauritian blue penny and red penny stamps, the first telephones and a franking stamp taken into space by a German astronaut.
