Garden art brought to Berlin from all over the world
Both Berliners and tourists are equally surprised by the colourful, renovated prefabricated complexes in Marzahn with their many parks.
The extensive Marzahn recreational park was inaugurated in 1987 on the 750th anniversary of Berlin when it was still divided into two parts. In 2000, Germany`s largest Chinese style garden was created here. Additionally, in the context of the project entitled “Gardens of the World,” a Japanese garden, a Bali garden, an Oriental garden, a Korean garden, a CHristian garden as well as an Italian Renaissance garden were opened.
The beautiful 24 hectare park is truly a work of art. It’s well worth a visit because of the many kinds of international gardens located here, which also include a maze and a floor labyrinth.
Closed from October until March: Japanes, Korean and Oriental Garden.
Tactile garden for visually impaired visitors.
Wheelchair rental for free, toilets near main entrance are wheelchair accessible.
